True Open Concept home in Seattle's artistic Fremont neighborhood.
True Open Concept home in Seattle's artistic Fremont neighborhood. This location puts you in close proximity to the popular restaurants and nightlife in Fremont but just far enough not to be disturbed. Well appointed for any length of stay. Ideal for larger groups and families.
The home sits on a safe and quiet residential street, near good coffee shops, restaurants, and the Woodland Park Zoo. The neighborhood's dramatic hills offer spectacular views of Downtown, the Space Needle, and surrounding mountains.
Guests have access to the entire home, minus the owners closet. The mudroom in the back of the house, as well as the backyard, is shared with other guests. Parking on the driveway is not allowed.
Guest need to observe and strictly adhere to quiet hours as guests may be staying in the downstairs, basement apartment.
Parking may get scarce after 5 pm. If you can avoid driving, please do so.
Shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia: Indie shops and hip bars pack this bohemian neighborhood on the north bank of the canal. Quirky outdoor sculptures include the statue of Lenin, the gigantic Fremont Troll, lurking under the Aurora Bridge, and the towering Fremont Rocket. Arty residents and tech workers hang out in the area’s eclectic eateries. The Fremont Sunday Market has art, antiques and food trucks. Cyclists and walkers explore the canalside Burke-Gilman Trail. Local yoga and relaxation spots a'plenty.
Parking is sometimes difficult in the Fremont area (everyone wants to be here!), so my best solution is to use those long things most of us have attached to our hips - your legs! If those are otherwise occupied, Uber or the new bike share (LimeBike) is a great option. You can get anywhere within Fremont for a few bucks. Downtown is about a 3 mile trip. There are busses galore (good ole #62, which is clean and frequent, will take you right to the South Lake Union/downtown area for just a few dollars), Ubers are always an affordable option, or you can take the Burke-Gilman via bike & make it downtown in about 20 minutes. Street parking is available around the apartment building; most of the time you can get lucky in the area - just be mindful of any "No Parking" signs, they will tow.
