Essential Amenities for Your Coastal Airbnb
What should you provide in your short-term property or vacation rental? If your property is by the coast or water, you can assume that guests will be there to take advantage of the area, and that means small things make their stay easier. Here's some things to provide for guests:
1. Beach Gear
If your property is next to the beach or the main draw of it is the beach, then provide beach gear. Nobody wants to fly with beach chairs! Check regularly, as it might need replacing.
Make sure you provide:
- beach towels
- beach chairs
- beach umbrella
- sunscreen (you can buy it by the gallon and keep it in the house. It's less likely to disappear)
- aloe vera gel
- kid's beach toys
- small beach friendly cooler
2. Lake Stuff
If your property is next to a lake, your amenities change slightly. While you should still provide sunscreen, also include:
- bug spray
- floaties
- have good outdoor patio furniture where your guests can enjoy being outside, including tables and chairs
- fire pit and chairs
3. Home Additions
Some of the things that can make things significantly easier for your guests to enjoy your place and keep them coming back, are additions to the home.
For example:
- awnings
- outside showers
- fire pit
- full deck
- maintained patios
- comfortable work from home space (sometimes guests are able to work remote for a week and if you have a good space for them with fast WIFI, it'll make a big difference)
